The Boys and Girls Club of Whitecourt and District originated, in January 2004 as a group of motivated community volunteers interested in establishing a Boy’s and Girl’s Club (originally organized as Whitecourt and District Youth Initiative). Boys and Girls Club of Whitecourt and District is an organization dedicated to providing a safe place for all youth and offering permanent and innovative programs.

To offer a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.
OUR VISION
We give children and youth with opportunities for building life skills, peer relationships, leadership skills and a sense of community in a safe environment with the support of adult mentors.

OUR GOALS
- To give programs that meet the physical, emotional, moral and intellectual needs of children and youth ages 5 – 18
- To offer a safe and secure environment where youth from unstable family situations can interact with others after school as well as during evenings and weekends to experience a healthy and positive social atmosphere
- To offer a safe and secure environment where children and youth can use information or professional help in regards to family, social, health, vocational or educational issues
- To procure the delivery of lectures and give access to professionals in programs dealing with social, health, education, vocation and character development of children and youth
- To support the family unit through educational programs related to the youth members
